Hattie Gertrude Wysong

Hattie Gertrude Wysong, 95, Nevada, Mo., died Sunday, Jan. 22, 2006, at Barone Alzheimer's Care Center, Nevada, following a brief illness. She was born June 21, 1910, in Sheldon, Mo., to Thomas Alpha Sherrick and Alice Rebecca Greer Sherrick.

She was married July 2, 1928, in Lamar, Mo., to Raymond Chandler and then on Feb. 26, 1987, in Miami, Okla., to Frank Wysong. Both of her spouses preceded her in death.

Mrs. Wysong was born and reared and spent virtually her entire life in this area. She was a member of the Pine Street Baptist Church in Nevada. She worked for a number of years as a nurse's aide.

Survivors include one stepson, Jack Chandler and family, Grandvicw, Mo.; one sister Katherine McCoy, Springfield, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services were held at 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 24, at Newton Burial Park in Nevada, Mo., with the Rev. David Landwehr officiating.
