Elmer Daniel Hill Jr., 67, Nevada, Mo., died Sunday, April 30, 2006, at his home in Nevada following a lengthy illness. He was born May 19, 1938, in Nevada to Elmer Hill and Elizabeth Hallaman Hill. He married Lillie Rose Galberith on March 26, 1960, in Nevada, and she survives of the home.

"Danny" was a lifelong resident of Nevada. He grew up and went to Nevada schools, worked as a custodian at Nevada High School and later Cottey College. "Danny" worked for four years for Earl Oyer Trash Service until his retirement. He attended the Living Hope Fellowship Church in Nevada.

Survivors in addition to his wife Lillie include four daughters, Sheila Lile, Nevada, Sharon Sallee, Stockton, Mo., Lora Hill, Nevada, and Cindy Bybee, Nevada; one son, Daniel Hill, Nevada; 18 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Standlee Hill, Milo, Delmar Hill, Nevada, Terry Hill, Milo; and one sister, Juanita Bigalow, Wichita, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Lena Starbuck; one brother, Joe Hill; and one sister, Betty Rackley.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Wednesday, May 3, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, with Marty Compton officiating. Interment will follow in Newton Burial Park, Nevada. Friends may call now and until the hour of service and the family receives friends 7:30-8:30 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.
