Funeral services for Sharon "Ron" Amoss, 97. West Plains, will be at 2 p.m., Monday, Dec. 4, 2006, in the Rose Chapel, Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 6, at the Memorial Park Cemetery, St. Louis, Mo., under direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Mr. Amoss died at 8:30 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2006, in West Vue Nursing Center. He was born June 6, 1909, in Carbon Hill, Ala., to William H. and Sue Webb Amoss. On Nov. 7, 1931, he was married at St. Louis, Mo., to Madia Mahalia (Mae) Criswell, who preceded him in death on Oct. 21, 1994. Before his retirement, Mr. Amoss was a supervisor with the Bi-State Transit Authority, St. Louis; and was a 2nd Degree Mason. He was of the Presbyterian faith and had attended the First Methodist Church, West Plains.

He is survived by his son, William (Bill) Amoss, wife, Hazel, Nevada, Mo.; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one niece and one nephew.

His parents, wife, one grandson, one brother and two sisters precede him in death.

Visitation will be from 1 o'clock until service time Monday at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to West Plains Senior Citizens Center and left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
