Special to the Herald-Tribune

Family and friends gathered Saturday, Nov. 25, 2006, at Greenfield's Harvest House to celebrate the birthdays and 25th wedding anniversary of Mable and Lewis Urner. A buffet luncheon for family members was served followed by a reception for friends.

A two-tiered white cake, designed and baked by Peggy Hunt, centered the white-lace- over-red covered table. On either side were chocolate- and white-mousse filled white cakes decorated in the red and white with silver theme. A matching table held raspberry punch and coffee. Family pictures and a PowerPoint program of family history and a beautiful arrangement of red carnations, red roses and white poms adorned a third table. Guest tables each held a red rose bowl and silver number 25 graffiti.

The guests of honor were presented a red rose corsage and boutonniere.

Among those present were Tom and Jan Simmons hosts, Chris, Kristy and Cole Simmons of Lee's Summit, Mo.; Robyn Simmons, Washington D.C.; Lyn, Richard and Rachael Jones, Southlake, Texas; Steve, Ann, Rebecca and Elizabeth Mowry, Trimble, Mo.; Larry and Bette Zwiebel, Yukon, Okla.; Maudie Ramey, Springfield, Mo.; Sr. Ursula Fotovich, Wichita, Kan.. and many other family members and friends from the Nevada area.
