He asks $25,350 damages

D.D. Grant through attorneys D.M. Gibson and J.M. Hull have filed suit against the Missouri Pacific Railway company for $25,350. In his petition the plaintiff says that the company received his household goods and stock to ship from Milo to Lamar on Oct. 30, 1906. He alleges that while he was in the car the company's employees negligently ran some cars against the car he was in and that the stock was knocked over against him and his household goods were turned over upon him, that he was hurt internally. He claimed that his head was cut and his brain was affected and that he was permanently injured.

50 years ago

Makes site survey for new school

George D. Englehart, director of school building services, State Division of Public Schools, Jefferson City, was in Nevada today making a site survey in connection with the proposed construction of new junior and senior high school building here to replace the burned out structure.

While in Nevada today Englehart also inspected the emergency school quarters at the Safeway building, Nevada Motors Co. building, Pine Street Baptist Church and the Longestreth building.
