Lee Ann Forkner

Lee Ann Forkner, 52, of Lostant, Ill., passed away Friday, Dec. 22, 2006, in her home after an extended illness. She was born in Louisiana, Mo., on Dec. 1, 1954, to Aaron Grant and Margaret Lee Cox Hemphill. She married Brad Forkner on June 17, 1977.

Mrs. Forkner was a substitute-personal aide, most recently at Tonica Grade School. She was a graduate of the University of Missouri at Columbia, Mo., with a degree in agriculture and chemistry. She was a partner in the Itty-Bitty Orchard in Lostant.

She is survived by her parents in Louisiana; her husband, Brad; three sons, Josiah Forkner and wife Brittany of Lostant, Jedediah Forkner and wife Dawn of Gilbert, Ill., and Zachariah Forkner of Lostant; one grandson; two brothers, Craig Hemphill of Clarksville, Mo., and Grant Hemphill and wife Celie of Martinsville, Ind.

Memorial services will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 26, in Four Square Church, LaSalle, Ill., with the Rev. Oscar Shepherd officiating. Burial of her ashes will be at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 28, in Rhinehart Cemetery, Richards.
