William E. Angel

William E. Angel, 72, Nevada, Mo., passed away on Saturday, Jan. 13, 2007, at Moore-Few Care Center, Nevada, following a lengthy illness. He was born July 13, 1934, in Nevada, to Herbert L. Angel and Dora M. Crews Angel.

Bill was born in Nevada and graduated from Osawatomie High School in 1952. Following high school, he entered the Marine Corps and served in Korea. Following the service, he worked many years as an electrician and has worked as a bail bondsman for the past 30 years. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, the American Legion Post No. 2 and also the International Brotherhood of Electricians.

Survivors include one daughter, Sandra Dunfield, Nevada; three grandchildren, Dusty Dunfield, Nevada, Lloyd Dunfield, Girard, Kan., and Crystal Dunfield, Fayetteville, Ark.; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Doris Bell, Nevada; one niece, Kelly Dicello, Milo; several nephews, several great-nephews and several great-nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Tracy Angel; and one sister, Jo Ann Ogle.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., on Friday, Jan. 19, at Antioch Cemetery, Nevada, with John Nichols officiating. Friends may call now and until the hour of service at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada.

Memorials may be given to the Vernon County Cancer Relief Fund in care of Ferry Funeral Home.
