Woman injured in morning crash

Missouri State Highway Patrol Trooper James Wilde takes measurements and writes down information about an accident that occured at mid-morning Thursday on U.S. Highway 54 a few miles west of Deerfield. Wilde said the accident occured when a west-bound Pontiac van was passing another vehicle and collided with a west-bound grain truck that was turning left off the highway. Wilde said the female driver of the van was injured, but no further details were available at press time. Wilde said a detailed description of the accident will be available on the Missouri State Highway Patrol Web site by Thursday afternoon
