Coach Shannon Jolley wants to let parents know that it isn't too late to register for the 2007 Tiger Football Summer Camp being held July 16 through July 20. Jolley encouraged anyone with an interest to participate.

"If you are a current player or if you have had any interest in playing football in the past, now is the perfect time for you to become involved," Jolley said. "We want every young man in Nevada to feel the excitement that is involved with being a high school football player. Each player will receive an equal opportunity to contribute to an exciting change in Nevada football."

According to Jolley parents can register their sons at the camp and said that pre-registration was not required.

"The pre-registration is a way for us to prepare and order enough supplies," he said. "It's fine to register at the start of the camp if they haven't already done so."

There will be four different levels of participation. Third and fourth grade students will participate from 8:30 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. Fifth and sixth grade students will participate from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and seventh and eighth grade students will participate from 4:30 p.m. to 6:15 p.m.

A mini-camp for freshmen will run Wednesday through Friday, July 18, 19 and 20 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. The mini-camp will help acclimate each player to the new staff and prepare them for the upcoming varsity camp.

All of the camps will be held on the varsity practice field at the high school location.

"This is a great opportunity for the younger athletes to work with the new varsity staff and interact with the varsity players," Jolley said "The coaching staff will introduce fundamental skills to each age level and provide each athlete with team building activities. There will be individual and team competitions each day with awards presented at the conclusion of the camp on Friday."

The cost for the camp is $25, which includes a camp T-shirt and refreshments. All athletes should wear shorts and a T-shirt with athletic shoes or football cleats.
