* -- The games keep going and going and going: The National Baseball Congress' website promoted Friday night's games as "Baseball 'Round the Clock ... 17 games in 56 hours ... can you do it???"

As it turned out, you could add a few more hours to that total as the Houston Apollos-Denver didn't start their scheduled 12:30 a.m. Saturday game until after 2 a.m. and didn't conclude until after 4. ...The same Baseball 'Round The Clock schedule continued today with 17 games in 56 hours -- and then some. Games have been running late during the entire tournament. ...The Griffons' scheduled 7:30 p.m. game with the Tulsa Cards on Friday didn't start until 8:30.

* -- Stadium campground: You could see fans of all ages dotted throughout Lawrence Dumont Stadium in the wees hours Saturday morning as the promotion featured camping at the stadium overnight for just $10.

* -- Coming up: The Griffons' starting pitcher on Sunday figures to be left-hander Lance Hoge, out of Kansas State. A game time was unknown at presstime.
