Two arrested in drug investigation

Wednesday, August 8, 2007

According to a report from the Vernon County Sheriff's Office, two people were arrested Monday on several drug charges. Greg A. Lovewell, 44, and Donna S. Wyzard, 43, both of Nevada, were arrested and both charged with distribution of a controlled substance near a school; distribution, delivery or attempt to possess a controlled substance, four charges of possession of a controlled substance; keeping a public nuisance; and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.

The two were arrested in their home in the 500 block of North Washington. Peckman described the premises as a drug house and said that is why the two were charged with keeping a public nuisance.

A press release from the Nevada Police Department says the investigation into their activities resulted in the seizure of suspected methamphetamines, marijuana and prescription medication. Lovewell is being held at the Vernon County Jail in lieu of $125,000 bond and Wyzard is being held in lieu of $110,000 bond.

No information on court dates was available.
