The increase in ethanol plants will result in an increased availability of dried distiller's grains. These products can be used as livestock feed but are not without their challenges, according to Pat Miller of the Vernon County University Extension.

Al Decker, Extension livestock specialist, will discuss "Feeding Distiller's Grains: Opportunities and Obstacles" on Thursday, Nov. 8, at 6:30 p.m., at the Nevada TeleCenter Café. The TeleCenter is located at 2015 N. West Street in Nevada. The cost is $10 and producers are asked to call in reservations to the Extension Center at (417) 448-2560 by Nov. 7.
