Vicky A. Smith, 42, Nevada, died suddenly on Thursday, Nov. 15, 2007. She was born July 9, 1965, in Nevada, to Floyd Dwayne Fahnestock and Betty Ann Buckner Fahnestock.

Vicky was born and raised in Nevada and graduated from high school here. She worked for Key Work Clothes for 20 years and had worked for Value Merchandisers in Fort Scott, Kan., this past year. She attended Crowder College in Nevada for two years. Vicky was a member of the Pine Street Baptist Church in Nevada. She was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

Survivors include her mother, Betty Buckner and Russell Wyrick, Nevada; Ed Weber, her companion of 14 years, Moundville; three sons, Jason Hallam and Josh Hallam, both of Nevada, and Jeremy Smith, of S.C.; one daughter, Jeanette Hallam, Nevada; one stepdaughter, Bethany Millman, Bronaugh; eight grandchildren; three brothers, Bill Fahnestock, Moberly, Mo., Clayton Fahnestock and his wife Liz, Irwin, Mo., and Butch Mealman, Urich, Mo.; one sister, Mary Mealman, Nevada, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Floyd, and one brother, Dwayne Fahnestock.

Funeral services was held at 10 a.m., on Tuesday, Nov. 20, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada. Interment followed in Welborn Cemetery, Moundville, Mo.
