Holiday closings announced

Government offices, businesses and other services have announced that offices will be closed in observance of the Christmas and New Year's holidays. County offices will be closed on Monday, Dec. 24 and Tuesday, Dec. 25 for Christmas. County offices also will be closed on New Year's Day.

The Vernon County Senior Center will remain open on Christmas Eve, but will be closed on Christmas and New Year's Day.

Offices for the city of Nevada, including the housing authority offices, will be closed Dec. 24 and 25, as well as Jan. 1.

The post office will remain open on Christmas Eve, but will be closed on Christmas and New Year's Day.

The Nevada Public Library will be closed Dec 22-25 for Christmas, and Jan. 1.

The Nevada Daily Mail's offices will be open on Monday, Dec. 24; however, no Dec. 25 edition will be published. Also, no newspaper will be published Jan. 1.
