Nevada man is hurt in Monday collision
Editor's note: Due to a reporter's error, information reported about the following incident in the Jan. 8 edition of the Nevada Daily Mail was incorrect. Following is a corrected report.

On Jan. 7, a Nevada man was injured when his vehicle crashed into the rear of a truck on U.S. Highway 54, about 5 miles east of Nevada.
According to a report from the Missouri state highway patrol, 35-year-old Danny Devore, Nevada, who was driving a 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt, attempted to pass a 1988 Mack driven by James Lawrence, 66, on the shoulder, and struck the truck in the rear, at about 7:30 p.m., on Jan. 7.
Devore, who was not wearing a seat belt, was flown to Freeman West Hospital, Joplin, with serious injuries.
Devore's car was totaled, but Lawrence was able to drive away with minor damage to his truck.
