Deadline is Friday for purchasing city of Nevada dog licenses

Thursday, February 28, 2008

The last day to purchase dog licenses in the city of Nevada without a penalty is Friday, Feb. 29. Beginning March 1, a 50-percent penalty will be added to the purchase prices.

City ordinances require all dogs older than six months that are sheltered within the city limits to have current rabies vaccinations and dog tags. Dog owners may purchase tags for puppies with no penalty once the puppies reach six months of age.
