NEVC to host 4-team donkey basketball tournament

Northeast Vernon County High School is hosting a donkey basketball tournament Thursday night at the NEVC gymnasium.

Four teams of players and donkeys will battle for an hour and a half and all proceeds will go to the NEVC Business Leaders of America. Tickets are $5 in advance and can be purchased at both NEVC campuses as well as Davidson Shoes, Madalyn's Kitchen and Farmer's State Bank in Schell City. Tickets are $7 at the door and children 5 and under are free with a paying adult.

Free donkey rides will also be available for children 12 and under when accompanied by a paying parent or guardian.
