Boy Scout food drive helps fill need

Wednesday, June 4, 2008

Dear editor:

I would like to thank the Boy Scouts and their leaders, and the post office workers for their recent successful food drives. The pantry was beginning to get very low and the food drives came just in time. A special thank you goes out to all the residents who filled their bags with the much needed food. If for some reason your bag did not get picked up or you just want to donate food you can bring it by Community Outreach at 229 N. Cedar Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. We are closed during the noon hour. Suggested items are: Canned fruits and vegetables, hamburger helper, canned meats, peanut butter and jelly and similar items.

Thank you,

Barbara Long, director,
