Arthur Sebastian Wegerer

Arthur Sebastian Wegerer, age 91, Nevada, died Thursday, June 12, 2008, at Moore Few Care Center following a long and fulfilling life. He was born Aug. 14, 1916, in Leeds, Mo., to Sebastian Wegerer and Emilie Fischbacher.

Arthur grew up in the Kansas City area and graduated from Central High School. He worked as a retail meat salesman for the Rodeo Meat Company as well as a butcher for various local businesses even after retirement.

Survivors include one daughter, Judith Kay Mulqueen, her husband Joseph and their children: Penny and Dan Drager, Debbie and John Gamm, Jim Mulqueen, Margaret and Sean Manzke, their children Seamus and Ainelise; and Micheal Mulqueen, all of Wisconsin.

Survivors also include one granddaughter, Jenifer Michelle Gast, her husband Bryan and their children: Alexandra Nicole and Brayden Douglas, all of Nevada; two grandsons, Steven Platt and Robert Dale Platt and his children Joe Platt and Jeremy and Jenny Platt, and their children Courtney and Emily.

Arthur was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette Wegerer and daughter Janet Ann Platt as well as two brothers and one sister.

Following cremation there will be a graveside service at Moore Cemetery at 10 a.m., on Tuesday, June 24.
