Witness reports puppy dumping incident in rural Vernon County

Vernon County Sheriff Ron Peckman said a sharp-eyed witness observed some puppies being dumped in rural Vernon County and reported the incident to the sheriff's office.

"They saw the puppies being dumped and got the license tag number," Peckman said. "We looked into in and charges are pending with the prosecutor. There is no need for them to do something like that. We have the animal shelter in Nevada and the Vernon County People for Pets willing to take them in. It's inhumane and totally unnecessary."

I don't care who it is lock them up. Give them a big fine and public service at the pound. Like the story said there is no reason to do that someone would have taken them in!!
