Hazel Eveline Reed

Hazel Eveline Reed, 85, Bronaugh, Mo., passed away on Friday, Aug. 29, 2008, at her home. She was born on Oct. 16, 1922, in Snyder, Texas, to John Wiley Smith and Tishey Lue Rodman Smith. She was married to Henry Clay Reed who preceded her in death.

Hazel grew up in Midland Texas. Following her marriage, she worked for Trade Winds Motel for 16 years in Wichita Falls, Texas. She moved to Bronaugh, in the late 1980s where she has resided since. She attended the Bronaugh United Methodist Church.

Survivors include one son Jack Draper and his wife, Marie, of Pasadena, Texas; one daughter, Linda Spangler and her husband, Michael, of Bronaugh; three stepchildren, Leona Rapp of Crowley, Texas, Al Reed of Kansas City, Mo., and Ronnie Reed of Ardmore, Okla.; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers.

Graveside Services was held at 11:30 a.m., on Tuesday, Sept. 2, at Crestview Memorial Park Cemetery, Wichita Falls, Texas.
