A family affair

A reception for artist Linda Rinehart at the Vernon County Arts Council gallery inside the Carnegie Building in Nevada had special family flavor. Grandchildren Abigail, 10, left, and Matthew, 12, above, stand with two of her paintings, which she created from photos of the children. Abigail's portrait captures a moment of joyous abandon when she was 2; Matthew's portrait is based on a moment during a Fourth of July celebration two years ago. Rinehart also displayed a wide variety of still life paintings as well as images of the Carnegie building and the Vernon County Courthouse.
