Fort Scott freshmen open season 1-2 against Parsons, J-L

FORT SCOTT, Kan. -- Fort Scott High School's freshman volleyball team was 1-2 in a season-opening quadrangular at the FSHS gymnasium Thursday evening.

The Tigers defeated Columbus in three games, 25-23, 21-25, 15-12. They lost to Parsons in two, 25-19, 25-14, and Jayhawk-Linn, 25-12, 25-20.

The freshmen travel to Iola Tuesday for another quad. Coffeyville and Columbus will also be in attendance.
