Inspirational speaker, musician to perform in Fort Scott

Area women will soon have the opportunity to partake in an inspirational evening scheduled to take place in Fort Scott.

Speaker, musician and author Kim Bolton will make a special appearance at the Fort Scott Middle School beginning at 6 p.m., on Saturday, Oct. 11, according to event organizer Nancy Wimmer.

Event participants will have the opportunity to partake in refreshments beginning at 6 p.m. At 7 p.m., the official program for the event, which includes an inspirational message by Bolton, will begin.

According to the event's promotional information, Bolton uses a mixture of humorous stories and musical performances to both entertain and inspire women.

"Author of Conversations at the Girlville Diner, Kim uses her humor-filled stories about faith, relationships, family and everyday life to bring roars of laughter and tears of conviction," the promotional information said. "... Topped off with Kim's incredible music and worship, Girlville is a fabulous dining experience."

According to Wimmer, Bolton's message will be presented in various ways and will address topics included in her book.

"Kim Bolton will bring her inspirational message in song, story, and worship," Wimmer said. "Her presentation will be based on her book, Conversations at the Girlville Diner, and is guaranteed to be a feast for the spirit."

According to the Professional Speakers Web site, www.professionalspeakers.com, Bolton's book addresses everyday topics women share with each other and how it is possible to find God in these situations. Bolton added that she is a seasoned speaker who offers encouragement to women everywhere she goes.
