Nevada Tigers tennis team falls against Carthage, 9-0

The Nevada High School Lady Tigers tennis team competed against Carthage Thursday afternoon with disappointing results.

The Lady Tigers fell in the match 9-0 with two shutout losses in individual competition. Whitley Del Rosario suffered her first loss of the season in individual play as Chrystal Dalton was able to bring an end to her streak by a final score of 8-4.

That contest tied with the Katlyn Short/Phylicia Lewis match for the closest score Nevada was able to put up in individual play. The doubles team of Cheyenne Whitson and Daven Smith were able to fair a bit better as they fell to Dalton and Baylee Blagg by a score of 8-6.

The Lady Tigers are scheduled to be in action again for their next match against Neosho on Monday, Sept. 29, in the first of the year's final three home matches.
