Police Reports Sept. 27 to 29

Sept. 27

A report of a vehicle theft in the 1200 block of north Lynn, was made by David Christensen, of Nevada, and Gerald Christensen, of Rolfe, Iowa. He reported a compact disc player and keys stolen. Gerald Christensen, of Rolfe, Iowa, reported a 1991 Chevrolet S-10 pickup stolen. The vehicle was located by Nevada Police inside city limits.

A report of a theft from a motor vehicle in the 1500 block of north Main, was made by Josiah Johnson, of Nevada. he reported a compact disc player and a radar detector stolen.

A report of a theft from a motor vehicle in the 400 block of north Tower, was made by Ryan Bobbett, of Nevada. He reported a compact disc player and keys stolen.

A report of a vehicle theft in the 2000 block of north Main, was made by Chase Brandt, of Nevada. He reported a 2004 Chevrolet Ventura stolen. The vehicle was recovered by the Vernon County Sheriff's Office.

A report of a theft from a motor vehicle in the 1200 block of north Tucker, was made by Brenda Newman, of Nevada. She reported a saxophone, money, a drink, a compact disc player, and compact discs stolen.

A report of a theft from a motor vehicle in the 1200 block of north Tucker, was made by Christy Gray, of Nevada. She reported compact discs and an owner's manual stolen.

An accident occurred at 9:45 p.m., in the Chinese Chef parking lot, involving a car driven by Catherine M. Nowak, of Horton, Mo., The accident reportedly occurred as a SUV backed into the Nowak vehicle and left prior to a report being taken. No injuries were reported.

Sept. 28

A report of a theft from a motor vehicle in the 1000 block of north Elm, was made by Ethan Meeks, of Aurora, Mo. He reported a toolbox and welding equipment stolen.

An accident occurred at 5:56 a.m., in Fuel Mart parking lot, involving a parked tractor/trailer owned by Trans United, of Burns Harbor, Ind., that rolled into a parked truck owned by Tahlequah Truss Company, of Tahlequah, Okla. No injuries were reported.

Sept. 29

A report of a burglary in the 500 block of south Oak, was made by Kory Tucker, of Nevada. Video games were reported stolen.

An accident occurred at 2:58 p.m., at Austin and Lynn, involving a car driven by Sara K. Cushard, of Liberal, Mo., and a parked pickup owned by Philip L. Weide, of Iola, Kan. No injuries were reported.

An accident occurred at 10:44 p.m., at Barrett and Austin, involving a pickup driven by Ethan R. Williams, of Tipton, Mo., and a divided highway sign and pole. No injuries were reported.

An animal bite was reported in the 1200 block of north Clay, made by Belva McCray, of Nevada. She reported being scratched by a cat; the cat is under observation.
