All-District football selections announced

The Southwest Missouri Football Coaches Association made their selections for this year's All-District football teams on Dec. 3.

All schools in the Southwest Missouri region were a part of this selection that took place at Springfield Catholic High School. The Nevada Tigers received seven honorable mentions and one second team selection.

Colby Shepherd was chosen as a second team defensive back, while Tyler Dobson received honorable mention at the same position. Two linebackers, Lyn Horst and Lawrence Shouse, received honorable mentions as well.

Other honorable mentions went to Austin Baldwin at quarterback, Shepherd at wide receiver and Damon Jennings and Ron Johnson for their work on the Tigers' offensive line.
