Dec. 18

There were reports of a supply of alcohol to minors in the Nevada area, a traffic hazard in the Deerfield area, a controlled burn in the Bronaugh area, a careless and imprudent driver in the Deerfield area, a juvenile assault in the Sheldon area, property damage in the Nevada area, vandalism in the Harwood area, an assault in the Nevada area, a careless and imprudent driver in the Milo area, a careless and imprudent driver in the Horton area, a vehicle vs. deer accident in the Nevada area, and a suspicious person in the Sheldon area.

Michael E. Edmonds, 25, of Nevada, was arrested and processed by the Nevada Police Department on charges of two counts of assault. He was released on a $1,000 bond.

Ricky E. Burris, 55, of Butler, was arrested and processed by the Vernon County Sheriff's Office on charges of violation of an order of protection. He is being held in lieu of a $2,500 bond.

Dec. 19

There were reports of an electric pole fire in the Nevada area, a road hazard in the Bates County area, a vehicle accident in the Sheldon area, a traffic hazard in the Sheldon area, an abandoned vehicle in the Nevada area, a check well being in the Bronaugh area, a burglary in the Walker area, a traffic hazard in the Virgil City area, a disturbance in the Nevada area, a careless and imprudent driver in the Nevada area, a traffic stop in the Nevada area, a controlled burn in the Milo area, a cow out in the Nevada area, a traffic stop in the Nevada area, an agency assist in the Milo area, a vehicle vs. deer accident in the Deerfield area, property damage in the Harwood area, and a vehicle accident in the Walker area.

Christopher L. Young, 24, of Springfield, was arrested and processed by the Vernon County Sheriff's Office on charges of failure to appear for theft of anhydrous ammonia. He is being held without bond.
