Freshman girls fall at McDonald County

The Lady Tiger freshman basketball team fell to McDonald County High School Thursday night.

The Lady Tigers struggled in the first half and quickly found themselves down 16-2 at one point and as much as 21 points at 30-9 as they headed into the locker room for halftime. Nevada had a strong second half and was able to outscore the Lady Mustangs 17-16, but ultimately fell short.

The Lady Mustangs went on to take the contest by a final score of 46-26 and the offensive effort on the night was led by Cassidy Lowery with seven points, followed closely by Bailey Harbit and Leah Creasy with six. The Lady Tigers will hope to get back on the winning track as they head to Liberal for their next contest tonight.
