Johnny B. Lewis - Monica L. Compton
Chris and Peggy Ellis, Nevada, Mo., announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Monica LeAnn Compton, to Johnny B. Lewis, Florence, Ky., son of Boone Lewis and the late Kathy Lewis, Harlan, Ky.
Monica is a 1998 graduate of Nevada High School, and a 2002 graduate of the University of Colorado, Boulder, Colo., with a Bachelor or Arts in Sociology and Ethnic Studies. She is currently employed by Ellis Furniture in Nevada and will be pursuing a graduate degree in the fall.
Johnny is a 1995 graduate of James A. Cawood High School, Harlan, Ky., a 1999 graduate of Cumberland College, and earned graduate degrees in Divinity from Gardner-Webb University of Boiling Springs, N.C., and in Education from Georgetown College. He is currently employed by Simon Kenton High School, in Independence, Ky.
The couple are planning a June wedding in Fort Scott, Kan.
