Nevada Wrestlers did their job to win 37 - 30 over the Butler Bears Thursday night at Butler.

Nevada spotted the Bears five weight classes and Butler just had to present a wrestler that made weight to win the slots. Both teams had opens at 140 and 215.

Winning by pin were Kyle Bennett at 135 pounds, Todd Brier at 160, Arik Williamsat 171 and Tanner Charles at 103. Zach Shepherd, 119, and Devin Miller, 125, both won by default as a result of Butler openings.

The match came down to Nevada -- up 34--30 -- with Dominic Habjan at 130 pounds wrestling Austin Fix of Butler in the only match to go the distance. Neither wrestler was able to score after two periods.

Halfway into the third period, Habjan -- who chose bottom -- received a stalling point on Fix and eventually got the escape, giving Habjan a 2--0 decision win. With the win, Nevada improves their dual record to 3--5 this season and will go to Seneca for a tournament Friday and Saturday.
