Feb. 7

There were reports of a stranded vehicle in the Nevada area, property damage in thte Milo area, drag racing in the Rich Hill area, property damage in the Bronaugh area, a traffic stop in the Nevada area, a brush fire in the Bronaugh area, a check well being in the El Dorado Springs area, vandalism in the Richards area, an assault in the Nevada area, a grass fire in the Richards area, a grass fire in the Sheldon area, and a deer in a fence in the Nevada area.

Kenneth G. Melton, of Nevada, was arrested and processed by the Barton County Sheriff's Department on charges of failure to appear for speeding and driving while suspended. He was released on a $470 bond.

Kaleb O. Leonard, of Milo, was arrested and processed by the Vernon County Sheriff's Office on charges of failure to appear for passing bad checks. He was released on a $400 bond.

John E. Barnhardt, of Walker, was arrested and processed by the Vernon County Sheriff's Office on charges of failure to appear for passing bad checks. He was released on a $850 bond.

Forrest S. Smith, of Nevada, was arrested and processed by the Vernon County Sheriff's Office on charges of driving while intoxicated. He was released on a $600 bond.

Feb. 10

There were reports of a careless and imprudent driver in the Nevada area, an animal in the Dederick area, a careless and imprudent driver in the Nevada area, trash in the Nevada area, a controlled burn in the El Dorado Springs area, a lost item in the Schell City area, a theft in the Richards area, a grass fire in the Sheldon area, a controlled burn in the Deerfield area, a road hazard in the Nevada area, a vehicle vs. deer accident in the Moundville area, a suspicious vehicle in the Nevada area, a vehicle accident in the Harwood area, a check well being in the Milo area, and suspicious activity in the Nevada area.

Candace J. Bounett, 36, of Nevada, was arrested and processed by the Nevada Police Department on charges of failure to appear. She was released on a $400 bond.

Darron E. Lowry, 27, of Nevada, was arrested and processed by the Vernon County Sheriff's Office on charges of passing bad checks. He was released on a $600 bond.
