Monte Fox

Monte Fox, 57, Nevada, passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2009, at St. John's Regional Medical Center, Joplin, Mo., following a lengthy illness. He was born Feb. 17, 1952, in Nevada, to Delmer William and Helen Marie Lehmkuhl Fox. He married Nancy M. Johnson on April 20, 1989, in Nevada, and she survives of the home.

Monte graduated from Nevada High School and was a lifelong resident of Nevada. He painted water towers for a number of years. Later, he was a dry waller for Bud Larimore's Dry Wall service for many years. He then worked at O'Sullivan Industries in Lamar until his retirement. Monte was a member of the Nevada Eagles Lodge and the V.F.W.

Survivors in addition to his wife Nancy, include one son, Scott Fox, Nevada; one daughter, Nancy Fox, Nevada; three stepchildren, Tammy Simpson, Warrensburg, Mo., Tim Wilson and his wife Tanya, Nevada, Terry Vaughn and his wife Marla, Nevada; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one half-brother.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m., on Friday, March 6, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, with Steve Russ officiating. Friends may call now and until the hour of service at the funeral home.
