Tuesday, March 10, 2009

The Sheldon Lions Club 5M Missouri Lions, has been in the Sheldon area for 37 years, helping families. The Lions Club stands for many things, members said. They make donations to Leader Dog, LCIF Mid-South Eye Research Center, and the Lions World Service for the Blind. The Lions Club also helps when a family has a house fire and provides eyeglasses for the needy. The club also adopted a family for Christmas and distributed 125 Christmas sacks. The Lions Building in Sheldon also is available for rent, and a monthly breakfast is held there on the first Saturday of each month.
