Elizabeth Berry, 94, Hamilton, Mo., formerly of Moundville, Mo., passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2009, at Hillcrest Manor in Hamilton following a short illness. She was born March 10, 1915, in Moundville, Mo., to Clifford Lee Hinds and Julia Ann Fordyce Hinds. She married Norman V. Berry, on April 22, 1938, in Nevada, and he preceded her in death on March 29, 2008.

Elizabeth grew up in Moundville, attended Bronaugh High School, and graduated from Rich Hill High School. She went to Cottey College in Nevada and Missouri State Teachers College, Springfield, Mo. Elizabeth taught school in a country school in the Moundville area, Rich Hill, and Gladstone, Mo. She later worked for the Social Security Administration for 20 years in Kansas City, Mo., until her retirement. Elizabeth had lived in Hamilton, Mo., for the past 40 years. She was a member of Town and Country Christian Church, Cameron, Mo., and the First Christian Church, Nevada, Mo.

Survivors include one daughter, Beverly Ann Huhs, Hamilton, Mo., eight grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Clifford Hinds and Norman Hinds, and two sisters, Fay Fisher, and Della Ruth Weber.

A private family graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, March 31, at Newton Burial Park, Nevada. Friends may call now and until 10:30 a.m., on Tuesday at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada.
