Irish Lena Bailey

Irish Lena Bailey, 73, Nevada, passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2009, at Nevada Regional Medical Center in Nevada following a lengthy illness. She was born July 28, 1935, in Jonesboro, Ill., to Oscar Lee Griffin and Rose Lee Morse Griffin. Irish married Earl J. Bailey on October 31, 1983, in Miami, Okla., and he survives of Nevada.

Irish came to Missouri in 1983 and worked with Gary Hoop Carnival and traveled with them through many states until her retirement in 1994. She has lived the remainder of her life in Nevada since 1996. She was a member of the Pentecostal Assembly in Nevada and a member of the Order of Eastern Star.

In addition to her husband Earl, survivors include her two sons, Danny Lee Foster, Topeka, Kan., and Rickey Ray Foster, Nevada; three stepsons, Phillip Ray Bailey, Independence, Mo., Roger J. Bailey, Kansas City, Kan., and Terry Allen Bailey, North Kansas City, Mo.; 10 grandchildren including her grandson, Cody Ray Foster, of the home; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Michelle Rose Lindsey, Mindenmines, Mo.; one nephew and two nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents and first husband, Virgil Ray Foster.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 24, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, with Shelby Brandt officiating. Interment will follow in Newton Burial Park, Nevada. Friends may call now and until the hour of service and the family receives friends 7-8 p.m. on Thursday, April 23, at the funeral home.
