Aug. 27

There were reports of suspicious activity in the Harwood area, trespassing in the Moundville area, threats in the Schell City area, a suspicious vehicle in the Walker area, and an abandoned vehicle in the Nevada area.

Frances M. Patterson, 47, of Nevada, was arrested and processed by the Nevada Police Department on charges of passing bad checks. He was released in lieu of a $225 bond.

Trenton H. Uttinger, 18, of Nevada, was arrested and processed by the Vernon County Sheriff's Office on charges of assault on a law enforcement officer, careless and imprudent driving, two counts of failure to stop at a stop sign, minor visibly intoxicated, and failure to yield to an emergency vehicle. He was released in lieu of an $8,000 bond.

Arthur N. Corrice Jr., 22, of Nevada, was arrested and processed by the Vernon County Sheriff's Office on charges of possession of up to 35 grams of marijuana. He was released in lieu of a $500 bond.

Michael P. Hoss, 29, of Nevada, was arrested and processed by the Nevada Police Department on charges of non-support. He was released in lieu of a $5,000 bond.

Aug. 28

There were reports of a eight traffic stops in the Nevada area, a theft in the Nevada area, a stranded motorist in the Deerfield area, cows out in the Nevada area, a dangerous animal in the Nevada area, and cows out in the Milo area.

Kevin E. Osmond, 59, of Nevada, was arrested and processed by the Nevada Police Department on charges of sexual misconduct. He was released in lieu of a $1,000 bond.

Laura D. Tucker, 23, of Mound City, Kan., was arrested and processed by the Nevada Police Department on a warrant out of Bates County for passing bad checks, and passing bad checks. She is being held in lieu of a $500 bond.

Aug. 30

There were reports of a stranded motorist in the Nevada area, a traffic stop in the Nevada area, a civil situation in the Nevada area, harassment in the Sheldon area, two vandalisms in the Nevada area, an abandoned vehicle in the Nevada area, cows out in the Nevada area, and an ambulance request in the Nevada area.

Jerry R. Peters, 60, of Nevada, was arrested and processed by the Nevada Police Department on charges of possession and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia. He was released in lieu of a $1,000 bond.
