Nevada City Council to discuss contracts, surplus property

Thursday, September 3, 2009

The Nevada City Council has a short agenda on tap for their special council meeting at 7:30 tonight in the Council Chambers, 120 S. Ash Street. The meeting, which would usually have been set for Sept. 1, was rescheduled because of scheduling conflicts for council members.

Among the items on their agenda include the first reading of several special ordinances: an ordinance updating the city's table of organization; a second ordinance declaring old city property surplus so it can be sold on Oct. 3; a third ordinance approves an engineering services contract with Tri-State Engineering for work that is related to installing lighting at the intersection of U.S. Highway 71 and Missouri Highway K.

They will also be considering a resolution to support the efforts of Elmwood Estates to apply for a Missouri Housing Trust Fund Grant.

The council will also be holding the second reading of an ordinance to approve a change in the city's contract with Rosetta Construction LLC to add a manhole to the south interceptor sewer project to facilitate the replacement of the sewer line across the Wendell Lee Property, as well as the second reading of an ordinance approving the payment to Rosetta Construction for additional sewer line work on the Locust Street Sewer project.
