Carolyn Satterfield

Carolyn Satterfield, 46, of Nevada, passed away on Friday, Sept. 4, 2009, at Freeman Health System West, in Joplin. She was born on March 13, 1963, in Kansas City, Mo., to Martin Dean Satterfield and Lois Ellen Slenker Satterfield.

Carolyn is survived by her fiance of the past 11 years, Chris Griggs; four children, Michelle Satterfield, of Lebanon, Mo., Cassie Satterfield, of Lebanon, Austin Griggs, of Nevada, and Andrew Griggs, of Nevada; five brothers, David Satterfield, of Lebanon, Danny Satterfield, of Grove Springs, Mo., Dennis Satterfield, of Lebanon, Brad Buttram, of Conway, Mo., and Bryan Buttram, of Lebanon; three sisters, Amy Price, Alison Good, and Deana Pederson, all of Lebanon; stepmother, Linda Satterfield, of Lebanon; and numerous nieces and nephews, and two great-nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., on Monday, Sept. 7, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, with pastor Kevin Boggs officiating. Interment will follow in Marvin Chapel Cemetery, in Vernon County. Friends may call from 1 p.m., on Sunday, Sept. 6, until the hour of servicse and the family will receive friends from 5-6 p.m., on Sunday at the funeral home.
