Mariam Ann Tucker became the bride of Levi Nathanial Self, Saturday, July 25, 2009, in a 2 p.m. ceremony at the Stockton Assembly of God Church, Stockton, Mo. Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Tucker are parents of the bride, while the groom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Max Self. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Hayward, Stockton, Mo., and the Rev. and Mrs. James D. Tucker, Fort Scott, Kan., are grandparents of the bride. Mr. and Mrs. Gary Hirshey, Oronogo, Mo., Mr. and Mrs. Mark Sheingorn, Enfield, N.H., are grandparents of the groom. Great-grandmother of the groom is Mrs. Wilma Setina, Joplin, Mo. The Rev. Randall Hayward, uncle of the bride, solemnized the vows before an arch adorned with ivory tulle and lights, silver candelabras, and floral arrangements.

The bride, escorted by her father, chose a three-tier ivory organza A-line designer gown by Monique Luo adorned with floral metallic embroidery, pearls, rhinestones, and beaded crystal detailing with a chapel-length train. The gown was complemented with a crown of ivory flowers, crystals, and pearls, and ivory one-tier elbow-length veil, accented with pearls and rhinestones. She carried a nosegay of ivory roses and white calla lilies accented with crystal beads.

Mrs. Christine Bailes and Mrs. Gloryanna Boge attended as matrons of honor, while Mrs. Leila Dixon was bridesmaid. The attendants were similarly attired in a sleeveless, champagne organza knee-length dress with a sweetheart neckline accented with a shirred bodice, lace shoulders and open lace back. Each carried a long-stemmed calla lily complemented with an ivory feather and satin ribbon. Zoe Self, sister of the groom, was flower girl. She was attired in a sleeveless, V-neck, lilac satin dress with an organza tie in back complemented with a wreath of tiny ivory flowers, crystals, and rhinestones. She carried an ivory organza basket adorned with embroidery and beaded detailing.

The groom was attired in a black tuxedo accented with satin lapel, ivory pleated shirt, champagne vest and tie, with a calla lily boutonniere. Charley Bailes served as best man. Alex Minium and Aaron Tucker, brother of the bride, were groomsmen. They were attired in black suits, ivory pleated shirts, complemented with lilac vests and ties, and calla lily boutonnieres. Elijah Self, brother of the groom, served as ring bearer and was attired in a black tuxedo with an ivory wingtip shirt, lilac vest and bowtie. Ushers were Brad Hayward and Carson Hayward, cousins of the bride.

Pamela Self, sister of the groom, presided at the guest book. Zadok Self, brother of the groom, was program host. Alyson Bland, Kasi Bland, Dakota Simons, and Tucker Grigsby, cousins of the bride, served as gift attendants.

Pianist and violinist was Mrs. Jennie Wood; vocal soloist was Anna Miles.

A reception followed in the Family Life Center of the church. A three-tiered ivory basket-weave wedding cake, fashioned by Mrs. Jan Beltram, was served by Mrs. Corda Hayward, aunt of the bride, Mrs. Julie Woods, and Mrs. Teresa Hayward, cousins of the bride. Punch hostesses were Mrs. Genie Tucker, aunt of the bride, Mrs. Jessica Rahe, and Jennifer Tucker, cousins of the bride.

Floral designer/décor consultant was Mrs. Cindy Burres, friend of the bride. Johanna Tucker, cousin of the bride, was hair stylist, and Mrs. Bethany Blubaugh, cousin of the bride, served as makeup artist.

After a honeymoon in Estes Park, Colo., the couple is at home in Longview, Texas.
