Sue Mooneyhan, 69, Nevada, died Friday, Oct. 23, 2009, at her residence following a sudden illness. She was born July 18, 1940 in Moundville, Mo., to Lorenzo Bryant Thomas and Eloise Glessner Martin Thomas.

Ms. Mooneyhan was born and raised in Moundville, Mo. She worked for many years as a paralegal and executive secretary. She lived in Virginia from 1981 until 2005. She spent the remainder of her life here. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Nevada. She enjoyed playing bridge, and was active in her church.

Survivors include one son, David Mooneyhan, Stillwater, Okla.; two daughters, Dana Redburn, Nevada, and Lisa Tanner, Virginia Beach, Va.; five grandchildren, Christopher Righter, Springfield, Mo., Lindsay Mooneyhan, Stillwater, Okla., Nicholas Righter, Nevada, Chelsea Mooneyhan, Stillwater, Okla., and Emily Tanner, Virginia Beach, Va.; two brothers, Leon Thomas, Moundville, Mo., and Colin Thomas, Coats, N.C. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Jack Thomas and Gary Thomas.

Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 29, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, with Pastor David Rorabaugh officiating. Interment will follow in Welborn Cemetery, Moundville.
