JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. -- Nevada High School sent two runners to the Missouri State Cross Country Championships at Oak Hills Golf Center on Nov. 7. The weather was unusually warm, which provided challenges on the extremely hilly 5000-meter course. Harrisonville's Maksim Korolev won the Boys' Class 3 race with a time of 15 minutes, 48 seconds. Nevada's Alex Bledsoe placed 93rd with a time of 19:01 and Todd Brier placed 100th with a time of 19:06. A total of 159 runners completed the Boys' Class 3 event. This was Bledsoe's first year at the state cross country meet while Brier is a three-time qualifier.
