Ruth Margaret Mayfield

Ruth Margaret Mayfield, 90, Nevada, died Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2009, at Christian Health Care in Nevada following a lengthy illness. She was born Jan. 21, 1919, in Milo, Mo., to Arthur Lee Danley and Elsie Pearl Livingston Danley. She was married Dec. 30, 1954, in Sheldon, Mo., to Albert Eldon Mayfield and he preceded her in death May 1980.

Mrs. Mayfield was born and raised in this area and spent most of her life here. She was a homemaker and a farm wife. She was a member of the Pentecostal Assembly Church, the Fairview Community Club and the American Red Cross.

Survivors include one daughter, Vickie Grissom and her husband Daniel; two grandchildren, Kristy Marriott , Kansas City, Mo., and Jason Grissom, Mesquite, Texas; one sister, Louise Fessant, Valparaiso, Ind. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; seven brothers, James Danley, John Danley, Donald Danley, Charles, Danley, Bert Danley, Ralph Danley, and Lewis Danley, three sisters, Virginia Brown, Mabel McWilliams, and Della May Danley.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 21, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada. Interment will follow in Milo Cemetery, Milo.

Friends may call now and until the hour of service at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada, and the family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening between 7 and 8 p.m.
