Tuesday, November 24, 2009

The Nevada Police Department was one of many around the state of Missouri taking part in the Click It or Ticket campaign conducted Wednesday, Nov. 18.

In a press release, Captain Casey Crain said that during the one-day effort officers identified 33 traffic related violations including five safety belt violations, 13 speeding violations, one driving while intoxicated violation and 14 other miscellaneous traffic violations.

Crain said safety belts are the single best defense in a crash and law enforcement will continue to encourage drivers to make a simple, smart choice to buckle up and Arrive Alive.
