Robert L. "Bob" Knapp, 76, Nevada, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 24, 2010, at his home in Nevada following a lengthy illness. He was born April 11, 1933, in Leeds, Mo., to Roy Clarence Knapp and Edna Fay Ankeny Knapp. He was preceded in death by his first wife Evelyn Jones in 1971. He married Sharon A. Howell on Oct. 12, 1971, in Miami, Okla., and she survives of the home.

Bob grew up in the Leeds, Mo., area (Jackson County) and also lived in Cass County. He had lived in Nevada since 1970. Bob worked at Producer's Grain in 1979 until 1997 when retired. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Survivors in addition to his wife Sharon, include his children, Uleta Jane Clark and her husband Terry, Irwin, Mo., Sharon Faye Nichols and her husband Tim, Pierce City, Mo., Vickie Lynn Scism and her husband Doug, Nevada, Tessa Sue Smith and her husband Brian, Nevada, Robert Taylor Knapp, Nevada, and Ryan Lee Knapp, of the home; grandchildren, Michaela Claspill and her husband Brandon, Michael Clark and his wife Rhynea, Andrew Clark, Christopher Clark, Timmy Nichols Jr., Brian Nichols and his wife Samara, Angela Robinson and her husband Gary, Dalton Smith, Stephanie Scism, and Branden Scism; great-granddaughters, Emma and Olivia Claspill, Audrey, Ciara, and Allison Robinson; brothers, Jim Knapp and his wife Peggy, Hermitage, Mo., Larry Knapp and his wife Joann, Mayview, Mo.; brother-in-law, Ronnie Foust, Rhinelander, Wis.; sister-in-law, Bobby Dade and her husband Garry, Nevada; aunt Beverly Jones, Peculiar, Mo.; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one infant son, Robert Earl Knapp in 1960; two sisters, Mary Foust, and Carol Oswego, and his parents.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, Jan. 27, at Moore Cemetery, Nevada, with pastor Bill Platt officiating. Friends may call now and until 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, and the family receives friends 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 26, at the funeral home.
