After the purchase of a new building in August, Nevada Regional Medical Center has opened the doors of the Clinical Services Building. This facility is home to the relocation of out-patient rehab therapy services and an entirely new health care service. NRMC has opened the NowCare Clinic, a medical clinic that can accommodate minor emergencies without an appointment. A public grand opening and ribbon cutting will be held Feb. 25, at 5:30 p.m.

The building at 345 S. Barrett St. was a welcome relocation site for Performance Therapy, which had outgrown its offices within the hospital. The move has been an important step in master facility planning, making way for more new services.

The new space was completely redesigned with rehab patients in mind and includes a new Occupational Therapy false kitchen and bathroom, larger gym and pediatric rooms with a separate viewing area for parents.

"Performance Therapy is a wonderful resource for our communities. People who need rehab can stay close to home, be more comfortable and still have access to exceptional care," Ashley Rodgers, sirector of Performance Therapy said.

The decision to open the NowCare Clinic was based on the needs of the community. NowCare serves as a community clinic, but more importantly an acute care clinic when trips to the emergency room may not be necessary.

Currently, the clinic is open Monday through Friday with late hours on Tuesday and Thursday. As the number of staff grows, additional hours may be added to meet the needs of the community.
