Murle Berry, 98, Nevada, formerly of Raytown, Mo., passed away on Sunday, Feb. 14, 2010, at Moore-Few Care Center in Nevada. She was born Feb. 5, 1912, in Louisburg, Mo., to Jesse Hartline and Stella Dorman Hartline. She was married to Leonard Berry and he preceded her in death on May 19, 1994.

Murle started her career in banking at Thornton Bank in Nevada and later moved to Raytown and began working in the Bank of America in Raytown where she worked until her retirement. Murle came back to Nevada in 2008. She was a member of the Christian Church all of her life.

Survivors include one daughter, Jeannie Francis, Nevada; two grandchildren, Scotty Pritchett and his wife Patty, Nevada, and Sandy Norcross and her husband David, Nevada; six great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren; one niece, Ardith Spencer, Nevada; two nephews, Jack Steele, Kansas City, Mo., and Larry Dahmer, Kansas City, Mo. She was preceded in death by her twin sister, Pearl Scotten in 2009.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 17, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, with the Rev. Bill Platt and the Rev. David Rorabaugh officiating. Interment will follow in Newton Burial Park, Nevada. Friends may call now and until the hour of service at the funeral home.
