Orin Frank McGrath, 62, Milo, Mo., passed away on Friday, March 5, 2010, at Kansas University Medical Center, Kansas City, Kan., following a lengthy illness. He was born April 18, 1947 in Lodi, Calif., to Edward Franklin McGrath and Le Ona Keithly McGrath. He married Doris Starlin in 1965, and later married Marlene Hargrove, and then Wilda Key. On Dec. 29, 2005 he married Rhonda Cooper and she survives of the home.

Mr. McGrath was born in California, but spent most all of his life in Vernon County, Mo. He made his living primarily in construction, but also worked for a number of years at the Nevada State Hospital. He was a member of the Milo Baptist Church, Milo, and a former member of the Eagles Aerie No. 3770 in Nevada, and was an avid gardener and fisherman.

In addition to his wife Rhonda, survivors include one daughter, Diedra May and her husband Ronnie, St. Joseph, Mo.; two grandsons, Kiry and Daemon, both of St. Joseph; two stepsons, Webb Cartwright, Nevada, and Tim Cartwright and his wife Kristi, Carthage, Mo.; five stepgrandchildren, Baylee, Brycen, Brielle, Corey, and Rylan; one sister Dixie Thompson, Leavenworth, Kan.; and one nephew, Rocky Thompson, Topeka, Kan.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., today, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, with Mark Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow in Milo Cemetery, Milo.

Friends may call now and until the hour of service at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada, and the family received friends at the funeral home Monday from 7 and 8 p.m.
