Leland Dalton, age 87, of Nevada, passed away on Sunday, April 18, 2010, at his home in Nevada.

Lee retired from the Prudential Insurance Company after 33 years of service in the Nevada area.

Lee served in the Army Air Corps during World War II while stationed in Halesworth, England.

Lee was the son of George W. and Madeline Dalton, of Nevada. He is survived by his wife Rosie of 65 years; three children, Dana Methvin and her husband Marvin, San Antonio, Texas, Jim Dalton, Columbia, Mo., and Anne Kreifels and her husband Christopher, Orlando, Fla.; one granddaughter, Penny Fletcher and her husband Kelly and family, Independence, Mo. Lee was preceded in death by his son, John Dalton in 2001, and also his brother George Robert Dalton in 2008.

A private graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, April 20, at the National Cemetery in Fort Scott, with the Rev. Greg Ferree officiating. Services are under the direction of Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the First Presbyterian Church of Nevada or Heartland Hospice in care of Ferry Funeral Home
