Carthage counselor indicted for conspiracy to illegally distribute prescription drugs

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Beth Phillips, United States Attorney for the Western District of Missouri, announced that a licensed professional counselor at a Carthage, Mo., clinic was indicted by a federal grand jury Wednesday for her role in conspiracies to illegally distribute more than $1.5 million in prescription drugs and to engage in money laundering.
